My experiences in living diversity, as a Muslim female physicist, with all its challenges contributed to creating my own motto: A rainbow is beautiful because of its diverse colors.

We live in an amazingly connected world, facing global events and issues. To function together, we need to get to know each other. I use art as one of my avenues to express myself, tell my story, connect with the community, and to add one more color, my color, to our rainbow in Manhattan, KS.

I use acrylic medium in my paints. Often, I create hard edge designs with bright colors contrast. Sometimes I paint still life as well as impasto in my designs. I am new to art, looking forward to diversify my techniques and polish my skill further.  

I was born in Baghdad but raised in Jordan, and now, I am a proud Kansan. I am a single mom of a wonderful 12 years old boy. In addition to painting, I also enjoy hiking, biking, and socializing.
